Just a brief note that we were not able to cover in class today about the types of consultancies that are already operating as futurologists and future planners for culture and heritage.

The best known is the guru consultant Faith Popcorn (Faith Plotkin) (http://www.faithpopcorn.com/) and her consultancy BrainReserve. They claim 95% accuracy for future trending predictions.

Examples from the sector of heritage are Ian Baxter from Caledonian Business School who has acted as a futorologist for Scottish Heritage for the last few years and set up the briefly lived Caledonian Heritage Futures Network.
