One and Other | Trafalgar Square

5-6am 25 September 2009, I stepped onto the plinth and became the 1,941st person to take part in Antony Gormley's grand public art project One and Other. Over four months, 24 hours a day, the opportunity was given to 2400 people in the UK to stand for one hour on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square and do whatever they pleased and have it broadcast live to the world. Over my hour I created a temporary sculpture as a constructive criticism of the structures of representation, mediation and possible exploitation at play within Gormley's project.
