Web Development and Design

The Public Art Committee was established by President Gordon Gee in 1999, incorporating the former Sculpture Committee lead by Chancellor Emeritus Artemis Joukowsky. The creation of a distinguished collection of contemporary artworks is a primary goal of Brown University's Public Art Committee. This is accomplished through Brown’s percent-for-art program and important gifts. Artists represented in the collection to date include Ann Hamilton, Nina Katchadourian, Larry Kirkland, Maya Lin, Sarah Oppenheimer, Martin Puryear, and Diane Samuels.
