One Run for Boston

Boston, Massachusetts

Communcations Strategy and Event Planning Liaison for City of Boston.

A 3300 mile non-stop running relay from Los Angeles to Boston. Hundreds of runners from across the USA will keep the relay going non-stop around the clock through fourteen different states and four separate time zones, passing a specially designed baton between them. Supporters will be able to follow their progress online thanks to a GPS tracking device fitted to the baton which will update its location every 15 minutes.

The event is being organized thousands of miles away by a trio of running enthusiasts from the UK with support from regional ambassadors who want to show their support for Boston following the tragic events of April 15. Raising funds for The One Fund, the relay started from Venice Beach, LA on Friday 7 June and reached Boston just over three weeks later on Sunday 30 June.

Danny Bent, CEO and Founder, Project Awesome and One Run for Boston

“Ian is a communications strategy dynamo. He was the catalyst that started One Run For Boston - a 3328 mile run across the states that raised $550,000 for charity. His determination and go get attitude make him stand out head and shoulders above the crowd!”
