K11 Concepts Ltd

Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong

Developed business models for two cultural retail property developments valued over $1.6b. Brokered partnerships with luxury brands including LVMH, Kering Group and Hermès.

K11 is the world’s first Museum-Retail concept and a hybrid model of art and commerce founded by Dr Adrian Cheng in 2008. It is the world’s first original brand to pioneer the blend of three essential elements of Art • People • Nature

K11 not only displays a permanent collection of local young artists’ works, but also allows the public to appreciate different local artworks and performance during shopping and leisure through the provision of various multi-dimensional spaces. This can help enhance the communication and exchanges between local artists and the public, nurture habits of art appreciation, and allow young artists to have more opportunities for showcasing their works so as to foster the development of local art.

K11 ECOAST is a one-of-a-kind commercial complex worth RMB10 billion and jointly developed by New World Development Company Limited (the parent company of K11) and China Merchants Shekou Holdings in Shenzhen.

Located in Prince Bay, Nanshan, Shenzhen, and with a total GFA of 228,500 sq. meters, K11 ECOAST is K11's first flagship project in the Chinese mainland consisting of K11 Art Mall, K11 HACC multi-purpose art space, K11 ATELIER office building, and the Promenade. The inspiration for the name "K11 ECOAST" combines the concept of green development alongside the conservation of waterfront resources. The complex is dedicated to promoting a sustainable, circular lifestyle and integrated the concept of environmental protection through the power of creativity, culture, and innovation.

Scheduled to open at the end of 2024, K11 ECOAST will be the new harbourfront cultural retail destination and circular economy trailblazer in the Greater Bay Area.

Globally renowned artists and designers will forge K11 ECOAST into a new creative cultural benchmark in the Greater Bay Area. A purpose-built exhibiting and events venue is being developed and is designed by David Chipperfield Architects.
