Photosynth of ‘Space replaced by volume’
I’ve been experimenting with Microsoft’s re-launch of Photosynth as a mobile application. Here I’ve applied it to documenting Dennis McNulty’s exhibition ‘Space replaced by volume’ which is currently open at the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University. As it is often difficult to capture the spatial relationships between works in the documentation of a gallery exhibition, perhaps Photosynth may present some new opportunities for experimentation and mediation – though admittedly it has low fidelity as the application does not always seamlessly stitch together images (as can be seen here).
